800 years ago, 球探足球比分's rise to the "Queen of the Hanse" began with the letter of liberation: self-determination and autonomy were the motor of economic prosperity, stability and security - reason enough, we would say, to hold the Brahms Festival 2026 under the motto "Freedom!".

Freedom is universal: it inspires creative power, unleashes skills, and creates momentum within society, economy, science and culture - striving for freedom is deeply ingrained within human nature, to fight for it a leitmotif of our history. The hope for freedom never dies.

Our festival programme is dedicated to forms of expression which make the creative power of freedom directly accessible; for example, improvisation, imagination, playing and contemporary music. We are looking for signs of the fight for freedom in works of composers whose works were largely ignored and dismissed until the 20th century or the works of the politically persecuted. Of course, the FAE Sonata must not be forgotten, celebrating the personal world view of Johannes Brahms and his circle of friends by ways of music: "free, but lonely".

Brahms Festival Ticket

• 80 Euros (reduced: 50 Euros) for all evening concerts (symphony concert and thematic concerts at the Gro?e Saal)
• 30 Euros (Hansensaal) or 20 Euros (Scharwenka-Zimmer and Vestib¨¹l) for all concerts at the Villa Brahms

Evening concerts at the Gro?er Saal of the MHL

• 15 / 20 Euros (reduced: 9 / 13 Euros)

Afternoon concerts at the Villa Brahms

• 8 / 11 Euros (no reductions)

Lunchtime Concerts at the Behnhaus Dr?gerhaus museum

• 11 Euros (reduced: 8 Euros)

Free admission for all further concerts.

Reductions apply to students and members of the Alumni Association and the MHL Patrons' Association.

All prices include all fees.

A decorated festival

In 2006, the Brahms Festival and the Brahms Institute of the MHL were awarded the Brahms Award of the Brahms Association Schleswig-Holstein. With a price money of 10,000 Euros, this price is awarded to persons and institutions dedicated to caring for and honouring the music of Johannes Brahms and his artistic legacy.
